The Story

FURNACELANDS is the story of a billionaire doomsday cult (a fusion of Caligula’s transgressive depravity and Fra Dolcino’s starving heresies). Set within the mirrored chambers of a brutal near-future world collapsing under environmental ruin - a rotting palace of narcotized sadomasochistic sleaze, where a quantum computer reveals Old-Testament 'miracles' - like a haruspex reading the entrails of God.

The smear of civilization seeps through blackened labyrinths of eschatological slag tombs - voiding permanence where the cult hides. In a desolate town accessible only by air, beneath mountains of isolation, the billionaires wait - preparing for the end through sacrifices to giant worms, biological humiliation, and psychosocial cleansing rituals.
